Rugby players from Exeter Chiefs joined local schoolchildren for breakfast at Darts Farm, Topsham.

It was part of a national Farmhouse Breakfast Week, a scheme to promote the benefits of eating a proper breakfast.

Chiefs' men tackle a hearty breakfast Experts agree breakfast is essential for starting the day and it can boost concentration and mental performance as well as reducing stress levels.

A Darts Farm spokesman said: "We believe this is a great opportunity to inspired the local children and give them a great example of why it is important to eat a good breakfast."

Darts Farm offers local product that can be eaten for breakfast including yoghurts, bacon, free range eggs, different types of bread, and more.

Locally produced farmhouse breakfast rolls were available at Exeter Farmers' Market as part of the Farmhouse Breakfast Week.
